Mission /Overview -All Knowledge and Active Tamil Teachers in one force - CTTU.

Aims and Objectives -

1. To enroll all Tamil Teachers in to CTTU and make it as the strong and Unitary Voice of the Tamil Teachers.
   
   

2. To express solidarity with the other workers by forming Federations at National & International level.
   
   

3. Safeguarding the Education of Tamil Students and Teachers.
   
   

4. Safe Guarding and Rehabilitating the Rights of Teachers & Students affected by War and Tsunami.
   
   

5. Ensuring Equal Opportunities in Education for Tamils in Sri Lanka.
   
   

6. Ensuring Education for all in the War affected, Tsunami affected areas and Plantation areas.
   
   

7. Solving the Professional and other issues Teachers.
   
   

8. Ensuring Self Determination of Tamils in Sri Lanka.

Executive Board - Elected Mother Union Officials 10 + 9 General Committee Members elected at the First General Committee Meeting held after the AGM.

Activities /Programmes -

1. Negotiation at Different levels.

2. Representing at the Transfer Board at all levels.

3. Negotiation with Salary Cadre Commission.

4. Workers Education Programme

5. Celebrating the International Women’s Day, International Teachers day etc
